SOMAR — Privacy Policy

SOMAR has no account, no analytics and no ads. Your sits and your settings never leave your device. There are two exceptions, and you control both: saving finished sits to Apple Health, and checking whether you bought Somar+.
What SOMAR stores
Your settings (form, palette, sound, speed, timer, breathing) and, if you have Somar+, your sit history — the date and length of each finished sit, used for your streak and monthly minutes. All of it lives on your device, in the app's own storage. It is not transmitted, not backed up to us, and not visible to anyone, including us. Deleting the app deletes it.
Apple Health
If you allow it, SOMAR saves each finished sit to Apple Health as Mindful Minutes. SOMAR only writes this data: it never reads your health data, never sends it anywhere and never uses it for advertising or marketing. You can turn this off at any time in the Health app → Sharing → Apps → SOMAR.
Somar+
Somar+ is a one-time purchase. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card, your name or your address. To work out whether Somar+ is unlocked and to let you restore it on your other devices, the app uses the RevenueCat SDK, which receives a random anonymous app-user ID generated on your phone and your App Store purchase history — no name, no email, nothing about your sits. What leaves your device
Only the two things described above: Mindful Minutes to Apple Health (if you allow it) and the purchase check. That is the complete list. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no ad SDK and no tracking of any kind. SOMAR doesn't ask for your camera, microphone, location or contacts. Siri and Shortcuts only start a sit inside the app; nothing is sent to us.
Children
SOMAR is not directed at children under 13. It has no accounts and asks nothing about you.
Your rights
Deleting the app removes everything SOMAR stored on your device, immediately and completely. Mindful Minutes already saved stay in Apple Health until you delete them there. The only data held anywhere else is the anonymous purchase record at RevenueCat — write to the address below and we'll have it deleted for your anonymous ID. We do not sell your data, to anyone, ever.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date at the top.
